Step 2 - Generate IT Glue API Key<

Now we need to go to IT Glue to create an API key. To do this, you must be an administrator on your account.

To create the API key in IT Glue:

  1. Click Account in the top menu bar.
  2. Select Settings from the left navigation.
  3. Select the API Keys tab.
  4. Click the plus sign to create a new API key.
  5. Enter a Name for the key (e.g., BrightGauge).
  6. Select the Password Access checkbox.

Important: If the Password Access checkbox is not selected, the integration will not work and returns an error in BrightGauge.

  7. Click Generate API Key. The key is generated.
  8. Copy the API key.

After you create your API key, return to the datasource settings screen in BrightGauge and proceed to Step 3.

Step 3 - Input IT Glue API Key

You'll now need to fill in the appropriate information.

  1. Name - Name the datasource. This can be IT Glue or anything you want
  2. Site - Choose the appropriate site based on your region.
  3. IT Glue API Key - This is the key you created in step 2
