Report Templates

Looking to build a template as a basis for future one-off report or perhaps a base template for custom scheduled reports?  Not a problem.  This document helps you build a template and then covers how to use them later.

 

Building a Template

To create a Report Template, please refer to Steps 1-5 in our "Creating a Report" article. It will walk you through creating the full report itself including the gauges, layout, formatting and how to save it.

 

Editing a Template

Step 1 - Go to the Reports page (#1) and then switch to type "Templates" (#2)

Step 2- Find the template in question, click on the title (#1), and then click on the "Edit Template" button (#2)

Step 3 - After clicking the "Edit Template" button, you’ll be directed to the report builder.  You’ll see all of the gauges originally added to the template with the layout and format that were chosen. You can then make all the necessary changes to the report. Please feel free to refer to this section of our article for assistance on adding gauges, formatting, and layout.

Step 4 - When you’re ready to save the template, just click on the "Save" button to the top right.

 

Creating a Report From a Template

Step 1 - Go to the Reports page (#1) and then switch to type "Templates" (#2)

 

Step 2 - Find the template in question, click on the title (#1), and then click on the "Create Report" button (#2).

 

Step 3 - The report will then open in the Report Builder where you can select the report type and make any necessary changes. Please refer to this section of our article for assistance on editing, finalizing, and sending the report.
