Application Patch Deployment

Overview

With the new sync architecture (called 2.0) in place, you get to see your data in near real-time in the dashboard. These new 2.0 datasets empower you to make effective business decisions. Quick Sync gauges and dashboard reports are available for use with ConnectWise RMM to display application patch deployment activity. The data in the Quick Sync gauges becomes available within a few minutes of creation or customer update. To learn more about displaying your most up-to-date data, refer to BrightGauge™ Dashboards documentation.

Note: This feature is currently only available to EA partners in the NA and EU region.

Default Dashboard

There is a default dashboard available titled Application Patch Deployment. This dashboard provides information about the third-party patches that the RMM agent attempted to install on the endpoint. Additionally, it contains gauges that are detailed under Default Gauges and shown here:

Default Dataset

The Application Patch Deployment dataset contains details about the third-party patches that the RMM agent attempted to install on the endpoint. The dataset provides an audit of all third-party patching actions taken by the RMM agent, and reasons why actions may have failed. Data is collected/refreshed in near real-time from the RMM system.

FAQ

How do you access this feature?

A Command/ConnectWise RMM™ partner can access BrightGauge by clicking on BrightGauge > Reporting in the RMM portal and will receive these new 2.0 datasets. Some partners access BrightGauge directly, without going through RMM portal, so we have created mappings for these partners in the system so that they can also receive these new 2.0 datasets. Partners who currently don't have a Command integration in BrightGauge but plan to onboard to Command/ConnectWise RMM in the future should log into BrightGauge via the RMM portal.

What is the benefit of Quick Sync?

We know that you use dashboards to make informed business decisions and that time is key. Quick Sync displays your most up-to-date data in a clear and concise way that allows you to see what is happening in your business in near real time.

How does this integrate with existing product features?

The 2.0 datasets can be combined with existing datasets for creating multi-layer gauges.
