Overview
An integration of Axcient x360Recover and BrightGauge—both ConnectWise solutions—is now available in the ConnectWise Asio® platform. Use this integration to monitor all your essential x360Recover key performance indicators (KPIs) directly in BrightGauge. Stay on top of backup statuses, available storage, client and protected system health, and many other key metrics. This integration empowers managed service providers (MSPs) to proactively manage their clients' Axcient backup and security, ensuring data safety and minimizing downtime risks.
Note: This feature is currently only available to EA partners in all regions.
Prerequisites
Important: Verify that your BrightGauge account has enough available integrations (datasources), before configuring a new integration. Limits vary depending on your plan. You can check how many integrations you have available by navigating to Data > Datasources.
To connect to an Asio integration for BrightGauge, you must first meet the following requirements:
- ConnectWise SSO must be enabled. Contact BrightGauge Support to get your account enabled with ConnectWise SSO. To see if your BrightGauge has ConnectWise SSO enabled, check in your account settings. For more information, see the BrightGauge SSO FAQs documentation.
- Asio must be provisioned to your account with all appropriate entitlements required for this feature set. To provision Asio yourself, see the Asio Self Service in Home documentation. You must have BrightGauge product entitlements.

Generate the Axcient API Key
Before setting up your Axcient x360Recover integration in Asio, complete the following steps to generate your Axcient API key:
- Navigate to the Axcient x360Portal (https://partner.axcient.com) and log in.
- In the left navigation panel, go to Settings > API Keys.
- Complete the What Would You Like To Name This API Key? field.
- Select the License Agreement checkbox, then click Generate API Key.
- Click Copy to copy the key to use in your Asio integration below.
Note: This is the only time your API key is viewable. Store it in a safe place for future reference.
Set Up the Axcient x360Recover Integration
To connect Axcient x360Recover for BrightGauge, complete the following steps:
- Log in to your Asio account.
- In the left navigation panel, go to Integrations > Asio Integrations.
- In the Explore Integrations pod, search for Axcient x360Recover for BrightGauge.
- On the Axcient x360Recover for BrightGauge tile, click the kebab (⁝) icon, then select Integrate to open the setup wizard.
- Enter the API Key from Axcient.
- After entering the API key, click the Test Connection button.
- When complete, the connection state pill changes from Not Checked to Connected and a Connection established successfully message displays.
- Click the Save and Proceed button.
- On the last screen, click the Complete Setup button to finish the process and exit the setup wizard. The Axcient x360Recover integration now shows a green Active pill.
- Next, log into your BrightGauge account.
- Navigate to Data > Datasources in the top right corner.
- Click the Asio Integrations tab. See Axcient x360Recover listed to verify your integration is complete. You now have access to all the out-of-the-box metrics for the Axcient x360Recover for BrightGauge integration.
Important: You can only make changes to an integration (datasource) configuration in Asio. If you click the datasource thumbnail in BrightGauge, you are redirected to Asio.
Tip: If you make an error or need to change any details of the integration, repeat the above process to return to the setup wizard in Asio and edit the fields as needed.
Default Dashboard
The Axcient x360Recover for BrightGauge integration empowers you to visualize data pertaining to devices, vaults, appliances, jobs, and clients. It gives insights about the protected systems, backup jobs statuses, health statuses of vaults, appliances, and more, along with storage and autoverify activity details, all available in the Axcient x360Recover Summary dashboard.
Default Report
The Axcient x360Recover Report included with this integration provides details about the total protected devices, total vaults, appliances, and clients, along with the overall storage details for vaults and appliances. The report gives information about the health statuses of protected systems, vaults, appliances, backup jobs, as well as autoverify activity and local cache protection enabled data.
Default Datasets
The following default datasets are provided:
Appliances | Contains details about the list of appliances belonging to the organization related to the user. All the data is available at a daily level. Data is collected every hour from the source and synchronized into the BrightGauge dataset. |
Clients | Contains details about the client. All the data is available at a daily level. Data is collected every hour from the source and synchronized into the BrightGauge dataset. |
Devices | Contains details about the devices along with their health status, reason, and backups. The dataset provides autoverify details for the backups and data. All the data is available at a daily level. Data is collected every hour from the source and synchronized into the BrightGauge dataset. |
Jobs | Contains details about the job statuses running on devices. The dataset provides details about the client who owns the device, along with the device name. All the data is available at a daily level. Data is collected every hour from the source and synchronized into the BrightGauge dataset. |
Vaults | Contains details about the vaults along with their health status, reason, and storage details. All the data is available at a daily level. Data is collected every hour from the source and synchronized into the BrightGauge dataset. |
Invalid Dataset Error
Axcient x360Recover datasets use new 2.0 datasets to function. The new 2.0 datasets work independently. Today, these datasets cannot be combined with existing datasets for creating multi-layer gauges.
If you attempt to create a multi-layer gauge using a 2.0 dataset and a standard dataset, the following error screen displays:

Local Cache Protection Enabled Vs Disabled On Devices | Displays the number of devices with local cache protection enabled vs. disabled. |
Overall Storage for Appliances | Displays the overall storage for all appliances. |
Overall Storage for Vaults | Displays the overall storage for all vaults. |
Protected System Health Statuses | Displays the daily history of protected devices. |
Total Appliances | Displays the total number of appliances. |
Total Clients | Displays the total number of clients. |
Total Devices (Protected Systems) | Displays the total number of devices (protected systems). |
