ConnectWise Automate Syncing with Two Factor Authentication


This sync error typically occurs because two-factor authentication is enabled for the Integration API user within ConnectWise Automate. To resolve the issue, disable two-factor authentication for the API user only.

To disable two-factor authentication for the API user:

  1. Log in to ConnectWise Automate.
  2. Navigate to the System > Configuration > Dashboard > Config > Integration tab.


  3. Select the tab for your authentication provider.
  4. Deselect the checkbox for your integration API User.
  5. Click Save.

Navigate back to BrightGauge and manually sync the dataset. Ensure your dataset completes a successful sync. If the dataset syncs still display errors after completing these steps, or if you have any questions, please contact Support by selecting Help > Open a Ticket from the top menu bar.
