Overview

Before you begin using BrightGauge™, a ConnectWise solution, you need to set up a datasource. A datasource is an application you currently use and want to integrate with BrightGauge. These integrations are the PSA, RMM, finance, and other business applications that provide the data for your gauges, dashboards, and reports in BrightGauge.

There are three types of datasource connection types you may work with:

  • Cloud or API-hosted: For most API datasources, you only need to provide login credentials and an API key for the services to talk to each other.
  • On-premises: To have an on-premises connection means to locally host your datasource through your own server. Generally, on-premises datasources are able to pull in more data than cloud-hosted datasources.
  • ConnectWise Asio™ platform integrations for BrightGauge: Easy to connect to, Asio integrations for BrightGauge require very few steps to get connected - most often, just secret keys and data center details. When configured, out-of-the-box metrics are available in your BrightGauge account.

Important:  Verify that your BrightGauge account has enough available integrations (datasources) before configuring a new integration. Limits vary depending on your plan. You can check how many integrations you have available by navigating to Data > Datasources.

Note: For users in the EU, visit EU Datasources for information on which datasources are currently available.
