Report Template Not Updating Scheduled Reports

Does editing a report template update a scheduled report built from that template?

This is a common question and the answer is that templates do NOT update scheduled reports. This is by design. Scheduled Reports are their own entity that when edited, will edit all future reports sent off of it. But a template report lives on its own.  You can create Right Now reports really quickly from templates (which is the main use case).
