Password Management

Overview

This document lists password requirements and provides instructions for resetting a forgotten password and changing a current password

BrightGauge does support multi-factor authentication (MFA). For more information, please refer to Two-factor Authentication for BrightGauge.

Password Requirements

  • Passwords must be at least 9 characters and must include both letters and numbers.
  • Passwords must not include or share personal information.
  • If changing a password, the new password must differ from your current password.
  • Your password must have at least one digit, one uppercase, one lowercase, and one special character.

Reset a Forgotten Password

To reset a forgotten password:

  1. From the BrightGauge login screen, click Forgot your password?.
  2. Enter your login email address.
  3. Click Reset. An email with a password reset link is sent your email address.
  4. Open the email and click the link.
  5. Enter your new password.
  6. Enter the password again to confirm, then click Reset. You are redirected to the BrightGauge login page.

If you encounter problems resetting your password, please contact Support by selecting Help > Open a Ticket from the top menu bar.

Change Your Password

To change your password from within BrightGauge:

  1. Navigate to Your AccountMy Details.
  2. Select Password Reset.

  3. Enter your Current Password.
  4. Enter your New Password, then enter it again to confirm.
  5. Click Change Password. A message appears confirming the password reset. You are logged out and brought to the login screen.
  6. Enter your email and new password, then click Login.
