This document describes how to add ConnectWise CPQ™ (Sell) as a datasource in BrightGauge™

Set CPQ User Permissions

Generate API Keys

To generate your public and private API keys:

1. Log into ConnectWise CPQ.
2. Navigate to Settings > Organization Setup > API Keys.
3. Click Add.
   
4. Enter a description, then click Generate Key.
   
5. A pop-up window displays your new Public and Private API Keys. Record this information to use when connecting BrightGauge to CPQ.
   Note: The private key is only available at the time the key is generated. If you do not have the private key, you must generate a new set of keys to complete the integration.
   

Connect BrightGauge to CPQ

To connect to CPQ:

1. Log into your BrightGauge account.
2. Navigate to DATA > Datasources.
   
3. Click Add a New Datasource.
4. Select the Finance tab.
   
5. Select ConnectWise CPQ.
6. Enter the datasource Name and Access Key.
   Tip: Your CPQ access key is your CPQ subdomain followed by _azure. You can obtain the access key from your CPQ URL after you log into CPQ.
   
7. Enter the Public Key and Private Key you saved previously.
8. Click Test Connection.
9. After a successful connection, click Save. Dashboards, reports, datasets, and gauges are added to your account after the datasource is saved. The sync usually takes 20 to 30 minutes to complete.

Default Resources

BrightGauge provides the following dashboards, reports, and datasets for the ConnectWise CPQ datasource.

For a list of default gauges, select Gauges from the top menu bar in BrightGauge.

Default Dashboards

To locate your dashboards, select Dashboards from the top menu bar. Then, click the dashboard name to open the dashboard selection menu.

To locate your reports, select Reports from the top menu bar.

To locate your datasets, navigate to DATA > Datasets.
