Q: Why is this downtime occurring?
A: This downtime is occurring as the BrightGauge product team makes infrastructure updates and general product maintenance. This brief downtime will allow for improved performance.
Q: How long is the downtime expected to last?
A: This downtime is expected to last all of Saturday, October 24, starting in the morning ET, and should be complete at some point on Sunday, October 25. Partners can expect to be back online by Monday, October 26 Australian time (AEST).
Q: How will this impact partners in addition to not being able to access the BrightGauge application?
A: There are two main areas of impact that partners should be aware of:
- Partners who have scheduled automated KPI reporting for Saturday 10/24 and Sunday 10/25 will need to update their reporting schedule or manually run a one-off report ahead of the downtime, otherwise, those reports will not generate.
- Goals and snapshot gauges will not be snapshotted during this period and public gauges will not be online. For those who have public gauges on your site, those gauges will temporarily show the same maintenance message that will appear on our site. Once service has returned to normal those gauges will be back up and running.
Q: What happens to my scheduled reports during this window?
A: Scheduled reports will not run as planned during this window and the report queue will be cleared for the impacted days. We recommend that all partners with scheduled reports for Saturday 10/24 and Sunday 10/25 reschedule their reports or manually run a one-off report ahead of the downtime.
Q: What happens to my goal snapshots?
A: Goals and snapshot gauges will not be snapshotted during this period. Previous goal snapshots will not be impacted.
Q: What happens to snapshot and public gauges?
A: Snapshot and public gauges will not be online during this period. For those who have public gauges on your site, those gauges will temporarily show the same maintenance message that will appear on our site. Once service has returned to normal those gauges will be back up and running. We will alert you when BrightGauge is back online, at which time you can confirm your snapshot and public gauges are also back online.
